Largely reconstructed, the Bronze Age Ri Cruin Cairn was originally over 60 feet in diameter with kerbstones on the south and east. There are two cists with huge slabs inside the cairn and one outside. The west end slab of the outer cist is decorated with eight carved axehead shapes, for which this site is particularly well-known.
