The Kerris Standing Stone is a solitary menhir sitting all alone in a field near farms. According to one observer, "Artifacts have been found in the field nearby the stone - flint tools, a stone axe and collections of regular shaped pebbles (these may have been used to heat pots of food or as sling shot stones to defend the nearby roundago (defensive enclosure)."
