Dun Fiadhairt Broch is in better condition than most brochs on Skye with its walls intact all around. Between the walls, partly covered passageways have survived. The broch measures 31 feet internally within a wall up to 12 feet thick. The entrance in the west is checked for a door and fitted with two communicating cells. Another cell lies in the northwest sector of the wall. There is a stair lobby in the north, while a gallery occupies the east and south sectors.

Journey to Dun Fiadhairt Broch
Dun Fiadhairt Broch is located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. From the minor road that continues on from the A850 after Deunvegan, park on the right where the road starts to cross a loch. Walk to the other side and take the path to the left. The trail heads up the hill to some low ruins. At that point the track seems to disappear but becomes visible again just beyond the ruins. It is now a pleasant grassy walking surface as it crosses pasture and then drops to the narrow isthmus. As you cross onto the peninsula you will see the remains of the broch almost straight ahead.
