The Coille na Borgie Horned Chambered Cairns were originally thought to be one long, horned cairn, but they now are considered to be two separate cairns, set back to back on the same axis and only 6 feet apart

The southern cairn, almost 240 feet long, is the most impressive of the two cairns. The chamber is divided into compartments by pairs of upright slabs. The similar but much more ruined cairn lies close by to the north.
