Bryn yr Hen Bobl ("hill of the old people") is a Neolithic chambered cairn represented by a kidney-shaped mound some 130 feet by 100 feet and up to 15+ feet high. A terrace or bank runs south across the mouth of the saddle from the mound and begins to climb the southern rise. It is balanced by a natural limestone ledge on the north side of the tomb. The mound has been adapted to display the restored chamber. The cairn itself had a small central chamber set behind a wide forecourt opening to the east commanding views across the Menai Strait. Excavations recovered sherds of Neolithic pottery.
