An early monastic site founded by St Mogua -- the date and identity uncertain, Noughaval Church coinsists of a nave and a chapel most of which are in ruins.

There are two distinguihing features of this site: the decorated arch over the south doorway and the ancient ringed cross that stands on a leacht (altar) in the nearby graveyard.

Of the latter feature, it is said that such monuments are indicators of an early Christian site.
